Marco Sollini, pianista italiano dalla solida formazione, ha raccolto nella sua carriera straordinari apprezzamenti dalla critica internazionale e da alcuni tra i più grandi musicisti contemporanei. Tra questi Jörg Demus, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Alexis Weissenberg, Sergio Calligaris ne hanno sottolineato la brillante tecnica e la sincerità musicale, evidenziandone le qualità di un suono smagliante, denso e profondo, di una mente curiosa ricca di capacità introspettive che riesce a far emergere anche nella musica più meccanica la magia del sentimento.
Diversi compositori hanno scritto per lui, tra cui Franco Mannino che, con profonda stima ed ammirazione, gli ha dedicato la sua ultima composizione pianistica.          
Personalità chiara e complessa allo stesso tempo, generosa e mai esausta come pure piena di sempre rinnovato entusiasmo e straordinaria determinazione; musicista eclettico, con capacità d’immaginazione, sottile ironia e senso pragmatico della vita.
La sua attività lo ha portato a suonare in tutta Europa, Nord e Sud America, Africa, Indonesia, ecc. esibendosi in recital come pure come solista con prestigiose orchestre tra cui la Sinfonica Dohnanyi e la MAV di Budapest, l’Orchestra Sinfonica di Stato Ungherese, l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Stoccarda, l’Orchestra della Radio Slovacca, l’Orchestra Ippolitov-Ivanov di Mosca, l’Orchestra Sinfonica della Radiotelevisione Serba, ecc.
Le più importanti radio del mondo trasmettono regolarmente i suoi CD e concerti registrati dal vivo, tra cui sono da ricordare le registrazioni per la RAI, Radio Vaticana, Radio National de España, Radio Unams del Messico, Radio Nazionale Serba.
Ricca la discografia che annovera anche la prima incisione mondiale delle musiche pianistiche di Leoncavallo, Puccini, Giordano, Mascagni, Bellini, Verdi, Persiani (edizioni Bongiovanni), Offenbach (in tre volumi per la CPO) e, ultima impresa, l’integrale pianistica di Rossini, in otto CDs per la Chandos, che la rivista della Società tedesca Rossini (Deutsche Rossini Gesellschaft) ha riconosciuto come “edizione di riferimento”. Ha inoltre ideato e preso parte all’incisione integrale dei “Gradus ad Parnassum” di  Muzio Clementi, realizzata per la casa discografica ARTS.
Come revisore, ha curato per la Boccaccini & Spada Editori la pubblicazione integrale delle musiche pianistiche di Puccini, Mascagni, Giordano, Leoncavallo, Bellini e di alcuni inediti di musiche cameristiche di Rossini e Mascagni.
Affianca all’attività concertistica quella didattica tenendo una cattedra come professore di Pianoforte Principale presso l’AFAM Istituto Musicale Pareggiato “G.B. Pergolesi” di Ancona, dove  ha  svolto  anche  il  ruolo  di  direttore  tra  il  2001  e  il  2003.
Ha tenuto inoltre master classes presso l’Arts Academy di Roma nella “Scuola Internazionale di Alto Perfezionamento”, al Conservatorio Statale di Lima, all’Accademia delle Arti di Tirana, nei College americani di Winston-Salem e Davidson, ecc.
Gli  è  stato  assegnato  a  Roma,  in  Campidoglio,  il  premio  “Marchigiani  dell’anno  2001”  per  la  sua  attività  artistica  internazionale.
E’ presidente e direttore artistico dell’Associazione “Marche Musica”, ideatore e direttore artistico del Festival di musica da camera “armonie della sera” che organizza concerti in alcuni dei luoghi più suggestivi della Regione Marche.

Marco Sollini, an Italian pianist with a solid musical education, throughout his career he has collected many exceptional appreciations from the international music critics and from some of the greatest modern musicians. Among these Jörg Demus, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Alexis Weissenberg and Sergio Calligaris, musicians who have pointed out his brilliant technique and musical sincerity, highlighting the qualities of a deep, profound and brilliant sound of an inquisitive mind rich of introspective abilities and who manages to bring out enchantment for the senses even from the most mechanical music.     
Various composers have written music for him, among whom Franco Mannino who, with profound respect and admiration, has written and dedicated to Marco Sollini his latest music piece for piano.         
A clear and complex personality at the same time, generous and never tired as well as full of renewed excitement and extraordinary determination; a versatile musician, with a capacity of imagination, subtle irony and with a pragmatic sense of life.
His musical activity has taken him to play all over Europe, North and South America, Africa, Indonesia and many other places the world over. Performing in recitals, as well as a soloist, with prestigious orchestras like the Sinfonica Dohnanyi and the MAV of Budapest, The Symphonic Orchestra of the Hungarian State, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Stuttgart, the Slovakia Radio Orchestra, the Ippolitov-Ivanov Orchestra of Moscow, the Serbian National Radio-Television Symphonic Orchestra and others.  
The most important and listened to radio stations in the world regularly broadcast his CDs and recorded live concerts, among which, to remember the recordings for RAI, Vatican City Radio, Radio National de España, Radio Unams of Mexico and Serbian National Radio.   
His discography is a rich one and which includes also the first world recordings of the music for piano by Leoncavallo, Puccini, Giordano, Mascagni, Bellini, Verdi, Persiani (Bongiovanni Editor), Offenbach (in three volumes for the CPO) and, his last feat, the complete Rossini piano pieces in eight CDs by Chandos, which the German Rossini Society magazine (Deutsche Rossini Gesellschaft) has recognised as “an exemplary edition”. Moreover, Marco Sollini has conceived and participated in the complete recording of the “Gradus ad Parnassum” by Muzio Clementi, realised for the record label ARTS.
As an editor, Marco Sollini has overseen to the complete publication of the piano music of Puccini, Mascagni, Giordano, Leoncavallo, and Bellini as well as of some inedited chamber music pieces by the same Rossini and Mascagni for Boccaccini & Spada Editors.  
He couples his concert engagements with that of a teaching post as professor of First Piano at the AFAM, Istituto Musicale Pareggiato (Certified Music Institute) “G.B. Pergolesi” of Ancona, where he has held also the position of Director between 2001 and 2003.
In addition, he has taught master classes at the Arts Academy of Rome at the “Scuola Internazionale di Alto Perfezionamento” (International School of High Refinement), at the State Conservatory of Lima, at the Academy of Arts in Tirana, at the American Colleges of Winston-Salem and Davidson and others.
At the Capitol in Rome, he was awarded with the “Marchigiani dell’anno 2001” (Marche Region Citizen of the Year 2001) award for his international artistic activity.
He is president and artistic director of the “Marche Musica” (Marche Region Music) Association, author and artistic director of the chamber music Festival “Armonie della sera” (Evening harmonies), which organises concerts in some of the most suggestive places of the Marche Region.

Marco Sollini, italienischer Pianist mit solider Ausbildung, hat im Laufe seiner Karriere auf internationaler Ebene außerordentliche Kritiken erhalten, und zwar ebenfalls von einigen der bedeutendsten zeitgenössischen Musikern. Zu diesen gehören Jörg Demus, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Alexis Weissenberg, Sergio Calligaris, die seine brillante Technik und musikalische Aufrichtigkeit betont und die Qualität seines blendenden, dichten und intensiven Klangs hervorgehoben haben, eines forschenden Geistes, der reich an introspektiven Fähigkeiten und in der Lage ist, auch in einer rein mechanischen Musik die Magie des Gefühls herauszubilden.
Verschiedene Komponisten haben für ihn geschrieben, unter anderen auch Franco Mannino, der ihm mit hoher Achtung und Bewunderung sein letztes Klavierwerk gewidmet hat.

Er ist Vorsitzender und künstlerischer Leiter der Vereinigung “Marche Musica”, hat das Kammermusikfestival „Abendharmonien“ angeregt und ist dessen Direktor, durch das Konzerte in den stimmungsvollsten Orten der Region Marche organisiert.
